For this diet, I did vegan the first day, and then vegetarian for days 2 and 3. It was pretty easy for me, but since it was the holidays I ran into many temptations. But in the end, it was not that bad. My mom helped me by cooking the proper foods for me and stuff. I thought this was a very fun assignment.
Well youre lucky to of had someone assist you. I had to do all of my egg cooking alone. Also believe me, i hate dishes but after every meal those have to get clean.
I understand completely about the temptations on the holiday season, I actually felt obligated to eat my grandma's food, but i decided to bring my own rice bowl and munch on that while everyone else devoured chicken and what not. You're lucky to have a supporting mom like you did. Okay.
This assignment was actually not to challenging and I pretty much did vegetarian all three days because I was not exactly sure on the restrictions of being a vegan. It was fairly easy to find food to eat plus I was sick with the flu so I didn't eat much anyway. But I have to agree with Victoria that this was a fun assignment, although not one that I would repeat too soon.
Yea, i was one too. I thought being vegan would proved too difficult. I mean animals are IN EVERYTHING WE EAT for the most part. It just seemed like if i did i would probably eat something wrong the first day
I thought I was going to have to use all my will power for this assignment but in reality, it wasn't all that bad. My diet consisted primarily of sandwiches and plain veggies. My favorite though was the broccoli and cheese soup but I have that quite often so I was probably just used to that. At the end of each day I felt more lively and energetic and less strain was put on my body. I agree with both Victoria and Amelia that this assignment was fun and new, but I don't think I will be choosing to become a vegetarian anytime in the near future. I guess I just love my meat too much.
Yay I found the blog! :) I went vegetarian for 7 days today being the last day because I mesed up at new years I started the day before new years. I got my father, my sister, and her friend to do it with me. I mostly ate pasta but I did eat some veggie burgers and a boca burger to.
I can go in peace now because my love, the blog, has been found. Being a vegetarian, wasnt difficult at all. This experiment simply took some creative thinking, and if you lacked that then it became a diet.
So the first week I decided to go vegan, although the beginning of the week started off more vegetarian. At first, it was difficult because I actually have to be aware what I'm putting in my body, and read labels. This was a first for me, and i did not like it. I was teased about my vegan ways by family, but kept on track my hiatus to the unknown world known as vegan-ism. All in all it was a fun experiment and pushed us as people to dig deep and find the will to complete the task.,.
I have found the BLOG and I felt that my culinary experience helped me get through thichallenge. I used varies recipes and my own special talent to creative healthy and green meals. I enjoyed this project and the diet gave me super powers !! :)
I agree about the the culinary experience. My father gave me so many different vegetarian meal ideas I didn't even think about eating meat as much.
I went vegetarian for a week! My mom was very supportive about this lab. This was a fun assignment!
